Chinatown & Downtown

Yes, I am still not done sharing photos from Seattle. Yes, I am very slow sometimes. Anyway, Seattle is very small & traffic is not an issue which meant that most of our time was spent planning things, realizing those things didn't take a whole lot of time & then wandering around, spontaneously exploring the town. City? I don't know! Anyway, above is obviously the gates to Chinatown.

One of the coolest things in Seattle is of course, the public library! Not just because of my fondness for libraries, let me tell you! Actually some random guy at Library Bar here in Los Angeles (no, I'm not kidding, yes, I'll stop with the libraries) told me about the magical upper floor not long before we flew up & I think it tipped my roommate/travel partner in favor of my, "Oh my gosh, we should go see the library!" plea. Whoops, I guess I didn't stop with the libraries. I will also share with you that I nearly whacked my head on one of the support beams in the library which would have been loud, embarrassing, & hilarious.

FOOD! & Flowers I guess too

So now I would like to share some snapshots from Pike Place Market. It was actually kind of depressing because I wanted to buy so much of the yummy produce & the tasty looking fish but it would have been so impractical. & they had all these really wonderful, super bright flowers that again, I wanted to keep, but could not! Augh! But first I will show you this picture of what I ate before going to the market at Citizen Coffee. Fantastic name, fantastic coffee. & isn't it nice when someone draws a heart in your latte? I think so. Hearts all the time! None of that leafy nonsense!

So I guess that is the first Starbucks. I did not actually go in because I'm not that into Starbucks & it was incredibly crowded. This banjo guy was quite talented though!

So that's it from there! I hope this isn't too boring. There will be otters & dinosaurs & a troll in the near future!

Space Needle

I really like the Space Needle in the way that you have to like over the top, touristy, sensationalist things that were created for World's Fairs of the past. It is exactly what I was expecting it to be, an odd structure that sang to my sci-fi loving heart. The thing that I was not expecting was an angry bird attached to it & I'm still not entirely sure what that's about, but I've never really been into that game (Triple Town & Very Hungry Cat are my iPhone favorites if you wanted to know). Anyway, I paid the ridiculous $19 admission to go to the top of the needle & it was pretty neat! I also bought many a postcard for some of my favorite friends (& my parents, duh!) back home!

I Left My Heart In . . . Wait, That's Not How The Song Goes!

I've been in Seattle this past weekend! It's so exciting to visit somewhere new & it's been ages since I've been able to go anywhere outside of L.A. except for short visits home. You'll have to excuse the barrage of very touristy pictures that will be taking up this space in the next few days! Seattle was so cute & small & really easy to get around. It seems like it would be really fun to live there for a year or two.
